Small children have an incredible ability to memorize. When you add music, there is simply nothing our kids can’t learn!  I am always on the hunt for children’s music that engages their minds without driving me crazy. Here are a few albums that have been hits in our home—and I hope your family will love them too!

1. Shai Linne’s “Jesus Kids”

Shai Linne is a well-known Christian rapper who has a knack for weaving scripture and theology into his music, and “Jesus Kids” is no exception. This children’s album covers everything from catechism questions to the books of the Bible and even classic hymns. It’s the kind of music that gets stuck in your head for all the right reasons.

2. Sovereign Grace Music’s “The Ology”

This album tackles big theological concepts in a way that’s both exciting and accessible for kids. The songs are super catchy, and my personal favorite is “Totally God, Totally Man.” It’s pretty bold to address the hypostatic union in a children’s song, but they manage to pull it off in a way that’s memorable and fun.

3. Steve Green’s “Hide ‘Em in Your Heart” (Volumes 1 and 2)

These albums may be older, but they are still incredible tools for helping little ones memorize key Bible verses. Before long, you’ll find yourself reciting scripture alongside your kids.

Happy listening!
